Unique and Special "Menu of Services" at Kitchenails: A Fresh Toss on Hand and Foot Care

Loving yourself and taking care of yourself is something fundamental. Your decision to pamper yourself is just a reflection of whatever you’re feeling inside.

After all, you work hard, enjoy with a treat every now and then. Whether you’ve achieved a long-term goal that you have been working toward or simply had the most productive day ever, just give yourself a “Me Time” , pampering yourself,  you’re worth it and that you deserve it.

Getting a mani-pedi makes me feel instantly better. When my nails are done I feel so much better – It's the little things that make me so happy, and you literally feel polished, feeling beautiful inside and out!

Last my"Me Time", I experienced and enjoyed a unique pampering myself at the Kitchenails, with the chefs!

Kitchenails is a fresh new concept in hand and foot care. Kitchenails located at the Robinson Galleria had a grand opening and blessing last July 28, 2018. Thanks to Mplify’s Miguel Dela Rosa, KitcheNails Marketing and PR Consultant, organized the the grand opening and give us the opportunity to experience the fresh toss on hand and foot care.

It offers a wide variety of flavorful scrubs, nail polish and oils that are organic and hypoallergenic. Its “Menu of Services” are a play on words associated with food like Honey Glaze for Paraffin Wax and Aperitif for Massage. The most recommended service would be a “Chef Specials” complete pampering service, choose your own flavor (Lemon Square, Candied Oranges, Spiced Plum Pannacotta, Verry Berry Muffin and Key Lime Pie).

At the grand opening of Kitchenails at Robinsons Galleria, Ortigas, personalities were Samie Anne Legaspi, Miss Lumiere International 1st Runner Up, Cindy Madduma, Miss Scuba International 2015 & Miss Scuba Philippines Pageant Owner, Ruel Rada, Mr Philippines, GMA Cavite, Atty.Minnie Bautista-Aldave, Atty Mark Aldave, Myrna Dela Rama, Operations Manager, Miguel De La Rosa, Marketing Consultant.

Kitchenails  started on December 2015 in Alabang Town Center. An innovation from a classic nail salon, Kitchenails added scents, flavors and ingredients from your mom’s and/or grandma’s kitchen. Month after, it opened a branch in Trinoma, Ayala Mall’s premiere mall in North Metro Manila. #ColorTheSouth for Alabang, South of the Metro, #ColorTheNorth for Trinoma became its hashtag in all of its social media accounts. #FeedYourSenses, is the mission of Kitchenails, to provide the overall experience of a nail salon with a home kitchen approach that would tickle all your senses.

After two years of operations, Kitchenails is now open for franchise and looking for more locations in the Metro and key cities in country. Last July 28, 2018 opens its first franchise store located at Robinsons Galleria, one of the premiere mall in Ortigas Center. Its official hashtag #ColorTheEast, as the mall is located in the boundaries of Quezon City, Mandaluyong and Pasig, the eastern part of the metro. It would be in the newly revamp East Wing of the mall along with all other health and wellness stores.
"A concept nail salon made impact to me as a client much more as franchisee. I have always looked up to the dedication given by the owners and team members of Kitchenails. I know that with proper guidance and support, I will grow with them as embark on this journey to business success. Being part of a family is what they've made me feel even from the start and that alone assures me that I have made the right decision." Atty. Minnie Aldave, Kitchenails Robinsons Galleria Franchisee.

Kitchenails are located in Alabang Town Center (UGF Main Mall, 815-6350), Trinoma (3F Near Mindanao Parking, 625-2804) and Robinsons Galleria (Level 3, East Wing).

L’Oréal Philippines’ Beauty For a Better Life Celebrates One Year of Changing Lives

(Metro Manila, 2018) -  Empowering Women to Transform Communities - L’Oréal Philippines’ Beauty For a Better Life celebrates one year of changing lives held the grand awarding ceremony this Tuesday afternoon (April 3) at the Renaissance Conventional Center, Marikina City, with the  beneficiaries after they undergo classroom sessions and salon internships.

L’Oréal’s Beauty For a Better Life completed one full year of training for three batches of beneficiaries. Placing beauty at the heart of re-building identities and lives, and created to ignite long-term social impact, many of those who benefit from L’Oréal’s Beauty For a Better Life are women in vulnerable social or economic situations. Since its launch last April 2017, 62 beneficiaries from the Philippines has been given an opportunity to go into jobs and even own businesses in the field of hairdressing.

Carmel Valencia, L’Oréal Philippines Corporate Communication Manager

"We believe in the power of beauty to change lives, and Beauty For a Better Life expands the definition of beauty by using it a way to provide skills and livelihood opportunities to those most in need. A renewed sense of self-confidence, dignity and motivation are fundamental changes that we see in our graduates and it is our hope and vision that Beauty For a Better Life empowers these women to gain a better quality of life through increased access to livelihood opportunities, and thereby becoming socially and economically empowered to also serve as beacons of hope for their own families and communities”, shares Carmel Valencia, L’Oréal Philippines Corporate Communication Manager.

Reynaldo Laguda,  Executive Director, Philippine Business for Social Progress (PBSP)
Led by the L’Oréal Foundation, Beauty For a Better Life is deployed in 27 countries globally and is one of the Foundation’s key programs to empower women in situations of social and economic instability by training them for careers in the beauty sector. For its first run, L’Oréal Philippines, along with its partner organization Philippine Business for Social Progress (PBSP), decided to focus on training women within one barangay to allow for growth within the community and co-empowerment among themselves.

The program was first brought to Brgy. Sto. Niño in Marikina as one of the priority areas for unemployment.

To date, 62 individuals have completed the program, 22 of which come from the third batch graduating this April 2018. Each batch of beneficiaries underwent daily classroom sessions in the Barangay Hall for three months wherein they were taught different hairdressing skills such as blowdrying, hair coloring, hair cutting, and application of hair treatments – under the tutelage of L’Oréal Philippines trainers. They were also exposed to a one-week internship in L’Oréal’s partner salons across Metro Manila to expose them to actual hairdressing jobs and potentially further their career options.

April 3 signals a new chapter for the program as it celebrates all the beneficiaries from Brgy. Sto. Niño including the latest set of graduates and also gives way for the turning over of the program to a new barangay in Marikina.

“It is truly heartwarming to see the hope that the program has brought about to the lives of the women (and men) of Brgy. Sto. Niño. For the next cycle of Beauty For a Better Life, we are hoping that we will also open opportunities to individuals from Brgy. Dela Peña and continue our advocacy of changing lives through beauty,” concludes Ms. Valencia.

Joby Linsangan Moreno Is The Orange Lady

Businesswoman Joby Linsangan-Moreno,, owner of the Orange Blush Salon with several branches in Luzon and Metro Manila, shared that the color orange represents happiness, positivity, and optimism.

Dubbed as the "Orange Lady," Joby is likely to be seen more and more spreading good word about hair care and entrepreneurial success as she is signed as a talent under Asian Artists Agency Inc.

AAAI is developing personalities that go beyond the conventional definition of an artist. And Joby is one that can positively influence people through her success in business. And she inspires dreamers like her to attain their lofty goals.

"Running a business is not merely a way of earning money. It's about putting your heart and soul to something you are passionate about. It is your path to growing and glowing," shared Joby who finished a course in medical technology and is a licensed medical technologist. After graduation, she worked in a local hospital in her hometown Cabanatuan, before answering the calling of her heart.

Joby is the creator of the Orange Blush Salon chain, which started as a small parlor in Cabanatuan and has now 20 outlets spread out in Luzon. It is bound to take Metro Manila by storm after last year's opening of its state-of-the-art flagship branch in Quezon City that was put up as a haven for franchisees.

OBS is a premier stop for affordable haircut and hair rebond service, capturing the 18-40 market of young professionals, young mothers, or just about everyone attuned to the ever-trendy straight hair fashion. While Joby owns half of the existing OBS outlets to date, business players diversifying their opportunity approach tend to like it as good investment or avenue to earn more. More importantly, it is a result-oriented place warmly extending beauty care service to people.

Four years after the franchisee tandem of Atty. Sherwin Tuquero and wife Ciara Bernadette put up an OBS outlet-- the first branded salon to open up in the close-knit community of Victoria, Tarlac, the small town now happily enjoys the constant presence of hair and nail care professionals and the privilege of not having a bad hair day.

A new branch opening in Lipa, Batangas is likewise expected to get that emphatic effect among its townsfolk.
She shared, "We specialize in post-service treatment because it's one way to know if you're constantly doing a good job. If a customer comes back to make use of our warranty offer, which basically means an extra round of service free of charge, it's a chance to prove that for us, the bottomline is really to satisfy clients."
No doubt carrying the moniker "The Orange Lady” sounds cool to Joby, a devoted wife who married her first and only boyfriend in life and a caring mother of three who does mother duties first before giving back her focus on the business. Besides, it's her favorite color and the one thing that quickly differentiates it from other salons.

"The orange color makes me happy. It is not too aggressive like red or too relaxing like yellow. It imbues tranquility, energy, and youthfulness," she explained.

Good point. She related how she needed to hire young people to work for OBS during the start-up years, how she had to learn the art of hair cutting and coloring and attend seminars herself, and how being a businesswoman entails hard work way past the eight-hour regular job.

But she endured everything, from the birth pains of a then-unknown business name to her continuing quest to turn Orange Blush into a national brand. She has pretty much achieved it with peace in her heart, believing she is destined to do this and knowing that problems will always be solved, especially for people making solutions.

One of these solutions is her CSR project wherein she partners with TESDA in creating the Orange Institute of Fashion and the Arts. Here, scholars are guided to learning the technicalities of salon work and given certificates of competency that should give them the door key to working for OBS.
Joby stated, "We put up a training school for would-be salon professionals as our way of teaching kids how to fish. When you can deeply relate yourself to a business you want to go into, it gives you a sense of being. Back in the day I wanted to color my hair myself. I probably knew I wanted to be in the beauty care service business ever since I started combing my hair. After a while I decided I couldn't be in a medicine laboratory, I have to be in a salon!"
To be exact a salon that blushes and so orange, like her.

Orange Blush Salon Cubao Opens, Franchise Branches Inaugurated Soon

With more than 20 branches, to conquer the metro carrying with that unique and "probinsiyano brand" that they represent, Orange Blush Salon launches its first Metro Manila flagship salon located in Spark Place Cubao.

Franchising has been at the forefront of Orange Blush expansion plans.

"We want to broaden our reach to as many markets, not just in the provinces but in the metro as well," she explains.

"We want the people to know that they, too can own a salon," says Joby Linsangan Moreno, president of Orange Blush Salon.

Very soon, two franchise branches will open: one in Sta Cruz Manila and another in Quezon City area. "We are targeting to launch 8 more franchise branches this year," she says.

Orange Blush Salon is a story of success from being a probinsyano (brand) conquering the the big city.

Joby Linsangan Moreno, president of Orange Blush Salon

"We carry with us that unique and probinsiyano brand that we represent,” she explains.

Orange Blush Salon opened its first branch in Nueva Ecija in 2003. Joby who has always been interested in the beauty business started the first Orange Blush Salon from the remnants of a financially strapped salon about to close shop. "I was then looking for a small place to set up my own beauty business when I saw this small beauty salon about to close." Several years later, Joby has grown her beauty salon business that it now has franchise branches.
"We want to inspire people. We also want to encourage them that they too can open a business of their own."

Orange Blush Salon Opens Branch in Cubao

Orange Blush Salon will have its first branch in Metro Manila with the opening of a new salon in Spark Place Cubao in July.

Orange Blush Salon opened its first branch in Nueva Ecija in 2003.

Joby Linsangan Moreno proprietor Orange Blush Salon
“It was already a small salon by then, owned and operated by a hairstylist and two other junior stylists. It was about to close down due to financial difficulties, and I was at that time, looking for a place already to put up my own small salon since I had always been interested in the beauty business," says Joby Linsangan Moreno, proprietor of Orange Blush Salon.

Joby took pride—and still does—in Orange Blush being a proud and successful probinsyano brand. And she knows deep in her heart, that inevitably, the day would come when she would have to expand the reach of the business outside Nueva Ecija either through franchising or putting up new company-owned branches.

“The plan was to move to conquer the metro, carrying with us that unique and probinsiyano brand that we represent,” she explains.

Now, they are all set to launch a branch in Spark Place Cubao and even have special promos. These include an opening promo of P20 per haircut if a customer wears orange (this will go on for three days following the opening, she says); anybody who comes in with an Orange Blush salon flyer will get a 25 percent discount in the newly-opened salon; a Loyalty Card that entitles the customer to a free hair treatment on the fourth visit and a free manicure and pedicure on the eighth visit.

“There will also be freebies to be given away during the opening,” says Joby excitedly.

But that’s not all. Joby also shares that the first franchise salon of Orange Blush will open in Bambang, Sta. Cruz, also in July with three more franchises to open soon.

With this move to the big city, Metro Manilans will finally get to experience the kind of impeccable service that Orange Blush has become known for in Central Luzon.

Joby and her staff are looking forward to welcoming clients and having them try their rebonding services, their manicure and pedicure, hair treatments and hair coloring, and the money-back guarantee.

Orange Blush is one of the very few (if not the only) salon that is so confident about the services it offers that it has a money-back guarantee in case customers are not happy with the service."Sinasabi namin lagi na sa Orange Blush salon, warantisado ang kagandahan. Meron po warranty ang lahat ng customer ng Orange Blush," Joby adds.

Exciting Holiday Offerings at Orange Blush Salon

“The coming year 2016 is a very exciting and promising year for Orange Blush Salon's expansion plans,” says Joby Linsangan-Moreno.
“Our vision is to put up branches in Central Luzon area first, where we came from, and saturate it and become the best hair salon in the area; then move to conquer the metro, carrying with us that unique probinsiyano brand that we represent. We have laid the ground work and plans for expansion in 2015, and I can say that we shall strive to be more innovative in our processes and services, and shall continually strive to become the best in our field.”
For the coming holiday season, Orange Blush salon welcomes clients with new promos and treats designed not only to pamper, but make sure they come out looking their best in this time of celebration.

Start your Orange Blush holiday treatments with the Brazilian Keratin treatment designed to bring life back to severely damaged hair with keratin as its main ingredient.

Keratin is the protein component of the hair, and makes it shiny, soft and healthy. When hair is regularly colored and treated, the natural keratin in our hair tends to be lost, and that’s when hair becomes dry, frizzy, damaged and unmanageable. Brazilian Keratin can get it looking normal and healthy again and bring your hair back to what it used to be.

Joby Linsangan Moreno of Orange Blush Salon
“Brazilian Keratin contains the keratin needed to revive our hair's luster and softness after all the hair chemical processes. This is a revolutionary solution to most of our hair problems,” says Orange Blush salon owner Joby Linsangan-Moreno.
At the same time, clients can also avail of the salon’s other popular services such as the hair re-bonding, hair coloring and foot spa services to get into a holiday mood and get ready for all the partying that is sure to come.

Or if you’re tired and frazzled after shopping and trying to beat the holiday rush, you can treat yourself to a pampering day at the salon and feel better again.

At Orange Blush salon, they focus mostly on hair services, which they consider to be their main area of expertise. They are sought out for their haircutting, hair treatments, hair rebonding, hair straightening, hair coloring, and also their manicure and pedicure, foot spa and makeup.
“We have decided to concentrate in the hair services, less the facials and massage treatments that other salons usually offer along with the hair treatments,” says Joby.
The best thing about Orange Blush salon is that it has a warranty, a virtual guarantee that when a client leaves, you will do so feeling good about the time you spent there.
“The warranty means being responsible and accountable to do your very best at work, and to give your very best for your customers. That also means caring for the welfare of your customers, and that is what our warranty is all about; that we welcome our customer's concerns, and that it is our main purpose to exceed our customer's expectations,” explains Joby.
To make the holiday salon experience even more awesome, this year they are also giving away free Orange Blush Salon mugs to customers (with a minimum of P2,000 worth of salon services) as their Christmas treat.

Ultimately, though—and regardless of what time or season of the year it is—the Orange Blush experience is all about providing their clients with the best possible service.

Explains Joby: “Since our services come with a warranty promise, our clients can be assured of the high quality and standards that we offer in our salon services; that we are responsible for the work we have done; and that we certainly care about our customers' concerns and feelings.”

One of the fastest-growing salon chains in Luzon, the Orange Blush salon (which first opened in 2003) is located in Cabanatuan City, Nueva Ecija. But Joby discloses that plans for a 2016 expansion are already in place. It’s something that they started preparing for this year, and they’re quite excited about it.

To know more about Orange Blush and its services, visit them at the Sotto Building, Del Pilar Street, Cabanatuan City, Nueva Ecija or call (044) 464.4114.

Orange Blush Salon holds ‘Orange Day’

What’s so special about Wednesday?

It’s a special day every Wednesday at the Orange Blush Salon in Cabanatuan City, as they treat their clients with special promotions and discounts on all of their salon services.

Orange Blush salon owner Joby Linsangan-Moreno says that on Wednesdays, they treat their already important clients “a little more special” by giving discounts on their services. For instance, a haircut costs P80 on regular days, but only P60 on Wednesdays; regular hair rebond is at P1,000, but drops to P800 only on Wednesdays. All other salon services are also discounted.

Joby Linsangan-Moreno
But why Wednesday? What’s so special about Wednesday? Explains Joby:
“It’s the midweek, and we usually have the lowest head count during this day; we wanted to come up with exciting and unique promos that can create a strong customer loyalty base and relationship and at the same time, think of promos that could strengthen our brand. It is always our priority to deliver salon services with the highest quality yet affordable services, that come with warranty.”

But that’s not all. They actually have promos all year round, as their way of reaching out to clients and thanking them for their patronage.

“We usually have monthly promos that are related to special events/holidays during the month or season, from January to December,” says Joby. “Like, for Valentine’s Day, we give out two free movie tickets for couples who avail of P1,000 worth of salon services; recently we gave away five iPad minis to lucky customers who took part in our raffle draw. With a minimum of P250 worth of salon services, one is already entitled to one raffle ticket, and during the Christmas season, we have discounted package services (Hair Rebond with Hair Cellophane and foot spa). And also, just recently, we gave away free colognes (in vials) for every P250 worth, with discount coupons. We also have upcoming promos made especially for students, where they can avail free salon services (for the day) with every P250 worth of salon services availed and upon presentation of their school identification cards.”

These promos are part of Orange Blush salon’s effort to continually upgrade their services.

“Our aim as a company is to improve continuously; to do better every day, every week, every month, every year,” says Joby. “We strive to know our customers more and establish strong direct relationships with them. The market is ever-changing, and thus challenging; and we are aware that we need to keep up and step up to deliver the best salon services.”

To date, they have upgraded the interiors of all their company-owned branches, with the help of their partners, professional contractors and interior designers. “We want our salons to look very welcoming and attractive, and we also want to make sure that our customers are comfortable whenever they visit our salons. We also strive to offer only the best hair salon services and products, and we update and upgrade our hair salon services procedures and products every now and then to keep up with the customers and the trends in the industry.”

Another innovation that Orange Blush Salon has introduced is what Joby refers to as the Warranty Services. This is like a guarantee that clients will get only the best whenever they patronize the salon.
“We want our clients to know and feel that we do every hair procedure with outmost care and knowledge, and that our service extends beyond our treatments done inside the salon. We are ultimately responsible for our services that we render to our customers. We give out our warranty service slips, and customers are asked to come back to our salon for a free hair check-up, to check and see how our customers are doing and check on their hair/nails as well.”

Joby thinks that it is important for each customer to be treated fairly and with importance, and that every service should always be given with love and sincerity.

“That is our way of showing them that we care.”
