Y.O.U Beauty Together With Mr. Tadahiro Shimada Developed A Skincare Series That Is Oily And Sensitive Skin Friendly

The beauty of Asian skin is as diverse as the continent itself. Genetics and climate play a huge role in how the skin behaves and responds. Only by understanding these factors can beauty brands understand the importance of tailor-fitting and formulating products that address the unique requirements of Asian skin.

From the humid tropical regions of Southeast Asia to the cold, dry climate of Northeast Asia, the wide expanse of the Asian continent is home to more than half of the world’s population– bringing with them incredible beauty and diversity.

For international beauty brand, Y.O.U Beauty, taking care of Asian skin by formulating products tailored and suited for the various needs has been its goal from day one. This is why, together with renowned Japanese cosmetic research and development expert and former R&D Director of Shiseido Global Tadahiro Shimada, Y.O.U Beauty created the Radiance Glow–a skincare series for those with oily, combination and sensitive skin.

“The Radiance Glow series are products we developed for people with oily, combination, and sensitive skin to deliver a gentle-yet-effective brightening solution and help them achieve that healthy glass skin,” said Mike Cabbo, Y.O.U Beauty Brand Manager for the Philippines.
“At Y.O.U Beauty, we believe in providing effective and accessible beauty products that will allow our customers to be as beautiful as they feel. We are honored to have worked with Mr. Shimada for our new product line as his decades-long expertise and knowledge about Asian skincare and beauty allowed us to create the Radiance Glow series.”

Made for the Sensitive Skin

Y.O.U Beauty’s Radiance Glow line was formulated in Japan and involves five products that will get you that healthy glass skin glow in as early as 10 Days.

“Asian skin is more prone to sensitivity due to a thinner stratum corneum–making it easily irritated due to harsh chemical ingredients in skincare,” Mike explained. “Oily, combination, and sensitive skin are common skin types in Asia, and its diverse weather conditions, as well as genetics, contribute to how our skin behaves and interacts with the ingredients we put on our face. This is why it’s vital for any beauty and personal care players to understand Asian skin conditions and formulate products that will address these concerns.”

Every product in the Radiance Glow line is formulated with the new Mizu Glow Technology which allows for mild and high-efficiency skin brightening. It contains Sakura extract which helps reduce melanin production for a lighter complexion while promoting softer & smoother skin, 99% pure Niacinamide that minimize pores and C-three Complex that is 7x more brightening than 10% Vitamin C.

Steps for getting that Radiant Glow

Ready for that radiant glow? Here’s how Y.O.U Beauty’s Radiance Glow line can help you achieve your beauty goals:

Cleanse

A great skincare routine starts with a clean face. Use the gentle-yet-powerful Radiance Glow Purifying Facial Foam (P299) to effectively cleanse and brighten your complexion without stripping your skin barrier. The facial foam contains Amino Acids to maintain skin moisture and reduce that skin-tightening feeling after cleansing.

Prep

Prep your skin to ensure that the products will reach their maximum effectivity with the Radiance Glow Toner Essence (P329). It’s supercharged with C-three Complex, Niacinamide, Sakura Extract, and Panthenol to help brighten the complexion and retain moisture for visibly plumper and glowing skin. Plus, it’s lightweight and does not leave your skin feeling sticky.

Boost

Take that step towards glowing glass skin with the Radiance Glow Illuminating Serum (P499). Formulated with multiple brightening actives including C-three Complex, Niacinamide, and Sakura Extract, this lightweight serum reduces skin dullness for healthy glowing skin. It also contains Bisabolol to help calm the skin and strengthen the skin barrier which is great for those days when your skin is breaking out or is being extra sensitive.

Protect + Repair

Lock in all the goodness with the Radiance Glow Advanced Day Cream (P469) and the Radiance Glow Active Night Gel (P469). Protect your skin from harmful UV rays with the Radiance Glow Advanced Day Cream, a lightweight, non-greasy cream equipped with sunscreen agents and enriched with C-three Complex, Niacinamide, Sakura Extract, and Bisabolol to effectively brighten and calm skin so you can get that healthy, glowing complexion.

End your day with the Radiance Glow Active Night Gel that’s infused with lavender for that extra relaxing effect. It also contains C-three Complex, Niacinamide, Sakura Extract, and Panthenol so you wake up with radiant and supple skin in the morning.

The key to getting that radiant, glowing skin lies in ensuring that you’re using the product suited for your skin type and needs. The Radiance Glow Series is available in YOU Beauty official Lazada, Shopee, and TikTok Shop or visit select Watsons, SM Beauty, Robinsons Department Stores, Gaisano Capital Group, Prince Retail Group, KCC, Mart One and The Landmark. Honeybon Celebrates Japanese Sakura Festival With "Sakura Mango Cake"

It's sakura time in Japan! A cherry blossom is the flower of any of several trees of genus Prunus, particularly the Japanese Cherry, Prunus serrulata, which is called sakura after the Japanese.

From March, April and May, the bloom of Cherry Blossom ( the Japan's iconic sakura) captured the attention of visitors and locals as their beautiful pink flowers blanket the country in soft and colorful splendor.

Here in the Philippines, you have to try the best cake you will love. A japanese designer cake shop unveiled a new product in time for the Cherry Blossom Festival in Japan. It’s the cake of the season (Spring in Japan) called Sakura Mango Cake!

'Sakura Mango Cake" is a seasonal cake that's only available for a limited time in commemoration of the sakura, cherry blossom season in Japan.

I got invited to the unveiling of Honeybon’s Sakura Mango Cake. I got the chance to try it and it tastes deliciously good, It's light and not overly sweet, for me - it's perfect. Cherry infused soft fluffy chiffon with fresh Guimaras mangoes fillings covered in pink ice cream frosting.

The Sakura Mango Cake Roll sells for P550/whole and P120/slice and It will be available in all Tokyo Bubble Tea branches this March to May.

Honeybon Katipunan, the flagship branch of this Japanese designer cake shop. It’s the sister company of Tokyo Bubble Tea,  that’s why the 2-floor restaurant houses the two brands. Tokyo Bubble Tea and Honeybon are basically Japanese food chains with the former being known for serving Japanese fusion food and sensational milk teas and the latter serving pastries.

At first, there was a confusion because the signage says “Honeybee Patisserie and Cafe” It was later explained to us by their marketing people that they are in the process of rebranding the cake shop to its new name - “Honeybon.”

Aside from Cakes, Honeybon also serves breads like Ensaymada, Cheesy loaf, Cinnamon loaf, Manila Pandesal, Hokkaido loaf and Honey Raisins Loaf.

For Pasalubong, Honeybon offers boxes of Brownies, Banana Loaf, Ofudge Bar, Food for the Gods, Lengua, Crinkles, White Choco Chunk, and Double Choco Chunk.

Japanese singer Aisaku releases new Tagalog single

Japanese act Aisaku, with his convincing skill at singing Tagalog songs, releases a new single which like his previous hit, is another Japanese original interpreted by Ted Ito.
The song is called “Alaala Mo” a moving love song first recorded by Ito as an album track. This time, Aisaku’s version premiered its way to mainstream radio when it was first played recently over Barangay LS FM. Production of the music video of "Alaala Mo" is now underway. Watch out for the video premiere on MYX and MTV Pinoy which will happen really soon. "Alaala Mo" is an equally strong follow up to Aisaku's hit single "Ikaw Pa Rin" which was heavily supported on local radio and music channels.

“I am a Filipino by heart even though my pair of eyes makes me look like I'm asleep,” quipped the Japanese-born singer whose rendition of Ito’s signature piece “Ikaw Pa Rin” won Best OPM Cover at last year’s Gawad Musika Awards & Consumers Quality Awards.

A mall tour to promote the new single promises Aisaku’s growing fan base the exposure he deserves. He will be performing this Saturday (March 8) 5 pm at the Atrium of Robinsons Magnolia. Copies of his album, wherein both “Ikaw Pa Rin” and “Alaala Mo” are included, will be sold at the venue as buyers will get the chance of having their CDs signed by Aisaku himself. Awesome prizes also await those who are going to watch the show. Products like K-Palette Japanese Eye Make-up & Cure Natural Aqua Gel (by Beauty Box Corp distributed in all Beauty Bar branches) will be given away to lucky winners during the show.

The self-titled album is produced by Janette Ito of Japan's i&i Records in tie-up with Japan Home Centre and distributed by Universal Records.

A partnership with a major content provider is in the works and will definitely provide a greater reach for Aisaku’s music.

Vocal about his love for Filipinos, he shared, “I find the Filipinos more fun to be with. I love the Filipino humor, the culture, and best of all, the close family ties. I love my parents and I am glad that I know how to show my love to them like a Filipino son can do.”

Other cover songs Aisaku recorded for his album are “Remember Me” (Renz Verano), “Honey My Love So Sweet” (April Boys), “Isang Tanong Isang Sagot” (Donna Cruz), “Isang Mundo, Isang Awit” (Leah Navarro), and other Tagalog tracks of Japanese roots.

Japanese singer AISAKU in love with Filipino Culure, Humor, Family Ties and OPM!

AISAKU is a pure Japanese who sings Tagalog and Japanese oldies and favorites with a taste of Jazz. Honed to be the next Ted Ito, Aisaku performs with a Filipino twist of Tagalog oldies and favorites.

Recently released his own rendition of the 90s classic pop ballad, Ted Ito's Diamond Hit record “Ikaw Pa Rin.” The choice is not merely because it's of Japanese origin. But ironically due to his high regard for OPM, with him even counting Gary Valenciano as his main musical influence.

AISAKU
“I know more OPM than Japanese songs now. I have more Filipino friends than Japanese friends on Facebook. And I guess I am a Filipino by heart even though my pair of eyes makes me look like I'm asleep,” Aisaku said.

His name interestingly meaning “make love,” Aisaku recently put out his self-titled debut album of OPM classic covers led by “Ikaw Pa Rin,” (popularized by Ted Ito and originally “Saigo No Iwake” in Japanese). His cover of the song won “Best OPM Cover” at the 2013 Gawad Musika Awards & Consumers Quality Awards.

The album package is produced by Janette Ito of Japan's i&i Records in tie-up with Japan Home Centre and distributed by Universal Records Philippines.

Born from a Christian family, this pure Japanese moved to the Philippines years back and the long stretch made him a Pinoy by heart. He takes pride that his knowledge in the Filipino culture and language is almost on a native level.

He shared, "Modern OPM music is something I really love. I give credit to OPM artists who bring the genre to a new level of classy music, like my current favorites Noel Cabangon, Sitti, Gloc-9, JayR, Ogie Alcasid, and a whole lot more!"

He confirmed his utmost respect for Mr. Pure Energy, "My most favorite singer is Gary Valenciano. I live in a church so I had the chance to learn good music first from Gary V's songs. His music covers a lot of genre from pop, dance, soul, jazz to ballads. The first live concert I ever watched in my life was his as well."

Aisaku actually is a combination of two separate words: "AI" which is another word for love, and "Saku" meaning "to make". His parents want him to be "a person who can spread love to the world."

IKAW PA RIN - AISAKU (Official Music Video)

This Japanese trying his best to sing in smooth Tagalog appeared on Lucky Me’s KARI & PO-KU advert. He also endorsed Platinum Karaoke, with his songs already available on the karaoke itself and iTunes. As a child he had speech impairment. Then he met a speech therapist from Operation Smile who helped him with his condition. He is now one of its ambassadors.

Other songs in Aisaku's album are “Remember Me” (popularized by Renz Verano), “Honey My Love So Sweet” (popularized by April Boyz), “Isang Tanong Isang Sagot” (Popularized by Donna Cruz), “Isang Mundo, Isang Awit” (popularized by Leah Navarro), and other Tagalog songs of Japanese roots.

Vocal about his love for Filipinos. He explained, “I find the Filipinos more fun to be with, and the country itself as well. I love the Filipino humor, the culture, and the best of all, the close family ties. I love my parents and I am glad that I know how to show my love to them like a Filipino son can do.”

With his talent and charm, Aisaku already bagged a number of awards, including the 2013 Asian Star Entertainer Awards for Best New Male OPM Artist. He will host and perform at the Little Tokyo Sunday Festival in Makati (Pasong Tamo near Makati Cinema Square) on November 24, 6 pm.

Taste the art of ramen in an authentic Japanese cuisine: Kokoro Ramenya

Kokoro Ramenya serves a wide selection of authentic Japanese ramen and other popular Japanese dishes. This restaurant opened its doors to Filipinos last April 18, 2012.

Kokoro Ramenya is a new Japanese ramen restaurant along Roxas Boulevard, Manila. The restaurant prides itself for having a great selection of popular regional Japanese ramen prepared by head chef and ramen connoisseur, Susumo Murata.

Kokoro Ramenya even has its own Japanese noodle-making machine to ensure noodles are of the highest quality and served fresh daily. Chef Murata highly recommends the Karakuchi-negi, Seafood Sapporo Ramen, Gomamiso, and Kokoro Ramenya original.

I love all the food I tried in this authentic cuisine. Their house specialty - Hakata Classic

Hakata Classic is rich and creamy Tonkotsu noodle soup topped with kikurage (mushroom) , chashu (pork)  and flavorful super soft-boiled egg!

According to Kokoro Ramenya , it is boiled for 18 hours and that's why this noodle is superb! If you crave for a warm noodle soup, here will satisfy you so much!

They also serves popular ala carte dishes, sushi platters and affordable special lunch set to provide a delectable Japanese dining experience to everyone.
My fave California Maki
Chirazi Sushi -
a bowl of sweet vinegared rice topped with fresh salmon, tamago, kani, ebi and unagi
Mixed Teppanyaki - seafood, beef, pork, chicken and mixed vegetables
Kakiage Tempura
Crabstick salad
Crispy California Maki
Gyoza, four pieces of pan-fried Japanese dumplings
Beef Teppayaki <3
Spicy Tuna Sashimi
Ebi Tempura
Tuna Teppanyaki
And for desserts . . . .

The coffee jelly and ice cream - combination of coffee, milk, and vanilla ice cream
Black Sesame Ice Cream - Black sesame syrup drizzled on vanilla ice cream
I ordered this Green Tea Ice Cream !

Spacious and bright, this Japanese restaurant’s casual cozy interior with a view of Manila Bay, adds to a relaxing dining experience perfectly shared with family and friends.

There are friendly and accomodating staff of Kokoro Ramenya

I love how nice,  elegant and minimalist interiors of Kokoro Ramenya.

KOKORO RAMENYA: Brand History

Two Japanese friends were chatting over their Japanese instant noodle lunch when they suddenly had a great idea of putting up an authentic Japanese ramenya in Manila. After a year of research, various cooking experimentation, food tastings and a few Filipino friends’ support, Kokoro Ramenya was born. It was the passion for perfecting the quintessential hearty Japanese meal, the RAMEN, that made Kokoro Ramenya what it is today. Soup broth is cooked meticulously for 18 hours to achieve its unique delicious flavor and ramen noodles are made fresh daily to ensure the right creamy texture and flavor. All this for a slurpingly good meal in Kokoro Ramenya.
