Lux 1

Model V

The Model V was the first vacuum turned sideways and it was equipped with runners also making it the first truly mobile vacuum cleaner. The Model V was such a success that Swedish maids protested when it was launched.
Another of Wenner-Gren’s pioneering moves was the introduction of home sales.
The sales representatives would show-case the new product, while at the same time meet with the decision maker who would eventually approve the investment, as well as gain valuable insights on how consumers actually used the products. In the Philippines, children of the ‘80s would surely remember the Electrolux man and his famous “Knock on your door” jingle as he sold vacuum cleaners from door to door.
Through the years, Electrolux also pioneered other firsts such as the first robotic vacuum cleaner and the Ergorapido, the first cordless stick cleaner that complimented the trend of grab-and-go cleaning.
